Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1)

Good. I was intrigued by the premise (and had already seen and enjoyed the musical; I'm sure that this coloured my impressions). I generally enjoyed the story, finding it to be an interesting take on Oz, and one that held my interest. Some of the characters were sympathetic, although less so than those in the play. I found complaints about overly flowery or complicated language to be baseless.
