The Magicians (The Magicians, #1)

Entertaining enough to keep me reading, and some parts were genuinely interesting, but there wasn't enough here to make this a great book. I didn't care about anyone except maybe Julia—goodness knows nobody else did and the plot was kind of all over the place, with quite jumpy transitions. I appreciate what Grossman was trying to do with the homages, but I don't think he quite pulled it off.
