Standing in Another Man's Grave (Inspector Rebus, #18)
One of the more enjoyable Rankin books that I've read in a long time. Of course, we're familiar with (and if we've stuck around this long, like) Rebus and his gang more than the Complaints team, so not too surprising. As usual, the interaction between Rebus and Siobhan (and — bonus — other cops) makes the book.
The mystery was actually quite interesting, and I enjoyed following the goings-on of members of the shadier side of Edinburgh, and how those things affect Rebus's life (or soon might, if I read my foreshadowing right).
As usual, the solution to the mystery relies on a little more coincidence than I'd enjoy, but not as bad as some. And the book ended really abruptly. Still, I was really enjoying the ride up 'til then.
