Caliban’s War (The Expanse, #2)

I see many complaints about this being the same story as the original, but I'd disagree. While "missing girl" is similar, many other aspects are different. Some for the better, some for the worse. There was less of a mystery here. And the expanded points of view shifted the story's tone and arc. The inclusion of Avasarala in particular helped give our heroes some additional agency.
And I liked seeing more Amos, since from the first book Amos and Alex may have been the same character to me. I know, sad.

As I said, a little less mystery here, and a little less urgency. So not quite as fun a read as before, but I still ate it up and am keen to continue.
