Women & Power: A Manifesto

Book cover for Women & Power: A Manifesto

Important and relevant ideas about the relationship between women and power, but I was turned off by the packaging. While the treatment of women may have some roots in Greek and Roman culture, I just didn't find that aspect compelling enough to base half the book on it. And the pictures throughout detracted from, rather than added to, the argument.
I did like the idea of redefining power, specifically to divorce it from prestige. Although I see no real reason why women shouldn't be able to participate in prestige, if they want.
