The Book of Longings

It seemed fine. I'm not really sure what the fuss is about. The book posited a secret (unknown/suppressed) wife of historical Jesus. She had some adventures, largely unconnected to him. It wasn't a bad story, and the beginning was quite engaging, but it didn't really hold my interest. The prose itself was serviceable, or maybe a bit better than that, but not enough to save the story.
